Women’s football: 1st team continue winning streak

This week saw the Ladies 1st team continue their winning streak and the 2s win their first game of the season.
The Ladies 1s, who are currently joint top of the BUCS Western 2B league with the University of South Wales, are undefeated after their 2-1 win against Bath 2s and their 3-1 win against Cardiff 2s. On Wednesday 2nd November they played a flawless match against Aberystwyth 1s to come away with a 15-0 win. Out of those 15 goals, Fresher, Amy Flynn, who has an Under 17 Welsh Cap, scored 5. 1st Team Captain, Charley Haynes was also in superb form hence scoring a hat trick. Special mentions must go to Rachel Deere and Sian Hardaker (seen pictured) who both played a tremendously.
Along with the 1s success, the 2s, who are currently in the BUCS Western 3A league, came away with a 6-2 win against the University of South Wales 2nd team. Nia Fowden Nevin played spectacularly, scoring 4 out of the 6 goals.
Both Ladies teams have their next games at home on Wednesday 16th November, with the 1s playing Gloucestershire 2s, and the 2s playing Bournemouth 2s, and plan on continuing their high level of performance and wins.
