Society Spotlight – October

October 2019

Society of the Month – Geography Society

On Monday 7th October, the Geography Society held a drop in Coffee and Cake morning in aid of the charity YoungMinds. This charity focuses on Child & Adolescent Mental Health and is dedicated to improving young people’s mental health by offering support to those who may be struggling with various aspects of their mental well-being. This charity was chosen as a dedication to a member and friend of the society and course who recently passed away, and by hosting a bake sale the Geography Society managed to raise £70.38 in the hour they were set up. With the continuous mental health crisis young people are suffering today, we commend their efforts in supporting a charity that does great work for a great cause.

Choral society – Most Creative Social

Our Choral Society hosted their annual Alphabet Sin Social. The idea behind it is to dress up as something beginning with the first letter of your name. It’s a creative and memorable way to get to know each other  it also means you can’t lose anyone in Sin that way!
